The only issue that hasn't been pointed out already that I can see is compositional - this is the first critique I've written so I hope this makes sense!

I think the composition would work better if the perspective was changed so the feet/end of reflection and the knife are on thirds lines (bad english haha) giving the knife more importance (I think you want this, seeing the negative space around the drip on the knife pushing the eye up to the blade..?). This would also make image less cramped at the top, putting the most important elements near the middle, where most people look first. Right now I look at knees before noticing the rest of the image. Other than that, fantastic work. Nice use of puddle to draw the eye up.

your fear in pulling this one off is unsound in my opinion. overall composition is solid, nothing in this piece is distracting. to me the blood reflection leads into the focal, most reflection pieces i've seen in a while lead away or distract. how did you do it? what works with this? i'd say contrast. not overdone, and well developed. i think that's what makes it work the most.

content peeks my interest very much. dark, gritty, and the tentacles solidify the intrigue of this. its as if this figure has no control over his actions but is compelled by his own darkness to fulfill whichever hunger is needed. there could be a story here, the tone and pitch are marketable and yes, you have my envy.
